Though the earthquake has long since faded from our TV screens, the people of Nepal continue to struggle with its consequences: losing family, friends, or a home. Makeshift huts such as these are scattered across the countryside, usually crudely constructed of zinc plates, scorching in the daytime and freezing cold in winter- no place to live. Many locals have taken out loans that they know full well they would not be able to repay in their lifetimes, and sold all they owned, to keep a roof over the heads of those they love.

We have raised enough money to build a house for a family that currently live in a two room hut: one for themselves, and one for their goats. And it's something, but not enough, when there are so many people still without a home.
